Bridges
One of several solutions for missing teeth, bridges fill the gap between healthy teeth left when a tooth is lost or or removed. This is important to ensure that your remaining teeth do not shift which could adversely affect your occlusion (bite).
How does it work?
A replacement tooth is attached, by the use of crowns, to the teeth surrounding the empty space where a tooth was lost. Once in place, the bridge distributes the pressure from chewing to the abutment teeth, which still have healthy roots to support them.
